10:00 AM - 11:15 AMHybridSome of the world’s best and greatest short stories can be found in the Talmud, many of which speak directly to the kinds of issues we struggle with today. In this four-session class we will read a selection of these stories, each of which address themes such as canceling and shaming, dissent and heresy, the spiritual and the mundane, and the challenge of destruction and rebuilding. The selection is based on the book by scholar Jeffrey Rubenstein called Talmudic Stories. There is no required reading but you will receive links to the stories each week.
This class will be open to all who register and attend in person. Zoom is available for our members and affiliates.
