Help: Add Payment Method

To make payments, you need to create a method of payment within ShulCloud. You can create a Credit Card or an ACH/eCheck payment method. You can even set up one of each. Credit card payments automatically add a 3% convenience surcharge. ACH/eCheck does not. You have a choice of which one to use at any time and for any payment.

It is always best to login to your account. If you do not have an account, you can request one or proceed without these steps.

  1.  Go to My Payment Methods to (view and) create new payment methods.
  2. Choose either "SIP - ECheck/ACH" (no extra fee added):

or "SIP - Credit Card - Convenience Fee Included"
  3. If adding a Credit Card, fill out your Credit Card Details. The Credit Card is now available for use.

If adding an eCheck/ACH, make sure to check the checkbox to authorize the withdrawal.
ShulCloud uses Plaid, a secure way to connect for ACH. Click on the Plaid logo and then follow the Plaid instructions to link to and validate your account.

Plaid will verify that you are really you and you will be all set. eCheck/ACH is now available for use.

If your bank does not participate in Plaid, close the Plaid popup window and click on:

Add your information securely right in the form. The process can take a couple of days to validate your account. It does so by making 2-3 small deposits into your account (a few cents). You will need to know the amount of those deposits, which is how Plaid verifies that you are really you. After a couple of days, look for those deposits. They need to be entered in chronological order and in dollars (e.g., enter 0.35 for 35 cents).

You now have a new payment method in ShulCloud for your use.
